Things to Know About Pavilion Installs
Pavilions are quite heavy. Their entire weight is supported by upright posts. This means that the bearing load of each post is substantial. Therefore, we strongly suggest that the posts be placed on Sonotubes that are 16” in diameter and at least 4’ deep (so the base is below the frost line)—or at a minimum, a concrete footing pad. Placing a pavilion on a concrete patio or pavers is NOT recommended.
Prep work will not be done by Backyard Sheds Co.; however, we can supply you with local installer contact information for the foundation prep work.
